We Are SOIL HUB INTERNATIONAL
Soil Hub International is a leading provider of soil fertility solutions.
We have spent time developing a controlled method and the right tools and software to monitor and analyse the relationships between soil and crops and plants. We use this information to treat with bespoke, biological amendments.
Our ‘know-how’ is applied by many different clients, ranging from farmers to green keepers, and used to make positive changes to therhizosphere, for more productive and better quality plants and crops.
The complete approach to soil management that we take is underpinned by a detailed understanding of biological processes which can help producers to unlock soil life and start capitalising on the benefits of microorganisms and the natural processes that a healthy soil provides.
The Story
Simon Parfey
Founder, Managing Director Twitter | Linkedin | Facebook Over the last 15 years, Simon has worked with a diverse and dynamic range of growers and producers across the world and in the UK. This has included leading variety selection for one of the most sophisticated flower farm in Africa, through to product design and business development at one of the UK’s leading Organic farms. With a decade in technical management, it was clear early on, the impact and implications of the commercial pressure that come with crop and pant production, including driving down costs and soil protection. Motivated by “a better way to do things”his passions include compost, grow media production and microbial management and have led to the establishment of his own specialist soil laboratory in 2014, and more recently the development of bespoke soil and crop analytic software.SoilBioLab
SoilBioLab is a joint venture with overseas partners and offers a very particular, focused range of microbiological tests for soil, growing media and liquid additives. In 2016 the laboratory started physical and structural soil testing services with tests designed to advance management practices to a more comprehensive approach. It is our belief that the decisions on how to better manage soil for more productive and sustainable crops and plants should be the reserve of the grower and not the domain of expensive, third party, so called experts.
i-Soil was developed to help growers and land owners, across a variety of industries, to develop smarter soil know-how by measuring, testing and observing the impact of interventions and using this as a way to determine how to optimise return on investments.
